Day 1: Edinburgh & Musselburgh
Where Golf Was First Played

Morning
- Pickup in Edinburgh (hotel or airport)
- Travel to Musselburgh Links – home to the oldest surviving golf course (first documented in 1672)
2.
Midday
- Optional 9-Hole Round at Musselburgh using hickory clubs
- Tour of the historic starter’s box and learn about early Open Championships played here
3.
Lunch
- Eat at the Golf Tavern, one of the world’s oldest golf pubs (est. 1827), just across from Bruntsfield Links
4.
Afternoon
- Visit the Scottish National Portrait Gallery or a golf-themed exhibit if available
- Optional whisky tasting or short walk on Bruntsfield Links (public golf area used since the 15th century)
5.
Evening
- Travel to St Andrews (1.5–2 hours drive)
- Check-in to hotel (recommend: The Rusacks, Hotel du Vin, or local B&B)
- Dinner at a classic local spot overlooking the Old Course
Day 2: St Andrews
The Home of Golf
1.
Morning
- Guided Walking Tour of the Old Course – including Swilcan Bridge, Hell Bunker, and Road Hole
- Explore the British Golf Museum
- Visit the R&A Clubhouse exterior and learn about the Rules of Golf
- Optional: Play the Himalayas Putting Green (fun and historic!)
Optional Golf
- If time allows, play 9 or 18 holes on the Jubilee, Eden, or Balgove Course
- Alternatively, book a photo op or tour via St Andrews Links Trust

Afternoon
- Visit St Andrews Cathedral ruins and St Rule’s Tower for panoramic views
- Free time to explore golf shops, cafés, or walk the West Sands beach

Departure
- Return to Edinburgh by early evening or drop-off
